Interest-based advertisingDoubleClick with DoubleClick AdExchange
Our website uses the online marketing tool DoubleClick by Google (“DoubleClick”). It is also offered by Google. DoubleClick uses cookies to show you advertisements that are relevant to you, to improve your campaign performance reports, or to prevent you from seeing the same ads more than once. Your browser will be assigned a pseudonymous identification number (ID) to check which ads have appeared in your browser and which ads have been viewed. In addition, DoubleClick can use the ID to track conversions related to ad requests. For example, if you see a DoubleClick ad and later use the same browser to visit our website and request something there. Cookies do not contain personally identifiable information, according to Google. As part of DoubleClick Ad Exchange, some data is evaluated across devices. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted by Google for evaluation to a server in the USA and stored there. Facebook Customer Audience
The feature Facebook Custom Audience of the social network Facebook is used on our website, if you have given your consent to Facebook. The Facebook Custom Audience feature allows us to measure, optimize and create audiences for our advertising campaigns. By capturing cross-device actions, we can make advertising campaigns even more efficient. In addition, we can create target group-relevant advertisements. As stated on the website www.facebook.com, this service is offered by Facebook Ireland Limited (4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). However, we cannot rule out that collected data will also be transmitted to Facebook Inc. (1601 Willow Road, Menlo Park, California 94025, USA) (collectively “Facebook”). Whether you use a Facebook user account or not is recognizable for Facebook through Facebook Pixel, via which the collected usage data are transmitted to Facebook. Facebook Pixel is a Javascript code that transmits the following data to Facebook: HTTP header information (including IP address, information about the web browser, page location, document, URL of the website and user agent of the web browser and the day and time of use ); Pixel-specific data, including Pixel-ID and Facebook cookie data, including your Facebook ID (this information is used to associate events with a particular Facebook advertising account and associate it with a Facebook user); additional information about visiting our websites, as well as standard and custom data events. The above-mentioned data processing concerns only users who have an account on Facebook or have visited a partner page of Facebook (whereby a cookie has been set). If an assignment of the Facebook ID contained in the Facebook cookie to a Facebook user can be made, Facebook assigns this user to a target group according to the rules we set, provided the rules are relevant. We use this information for the presentation of advertising on Facebook (partner) pages. The display of advertising on Facebook (partner) pages by means of the target group function does not affect users who are not members of Facebook. To find out more about advertising on Facebook and how to set which ads you see, go to https://www.facebook.com/about/basics/advertising. Instructions on how to make ad settings and avoid unwanted ads can be found here https://www.facebook.com/about/basics/advertising/ad-preferences. You can access Facebook’s data policy on the following link: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/explanation.

Bing Ads
On our website, we use technologies by “Bing Ads”, a service of the Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052-6399, USA (hereafter referred to as: “Microsoft”). Bing Ads collects and stores data from which user profiles are created based on the use of pseudonyms. Bing Ads allows us to retrace the user activities on our website, provided that the users reached our website through Bing Ads advertisements. If you reach our website through one of these ads, a cookie will be set on your terminal device. This allows us and Microsoft to understand that a user clicked on a Bing Ads advertisement and was redirected to our website. Microsoft and we can also understand that a user has reached a previously determined landing page, the so-called conversion page. We only learn the total amount of users that have clicked on a Bing Ads advertisement and that have been redirected to the conversion page. However, no personal data of the respective user are processed. The collected information is transmitted to Microsoft servers in the USA and stored there for a maximum of 180 days. Furthermore, Microsoft may track, under certain circumstances, your user behavior throughout various of your terminal devices thanks to the so-called cross-device tracking. This way, Microsoft can show you customized ads on Microsoft websites as well as in Microsoft apps. We are using Bing Ads for marketing and optimization purposes, especially in order to analyze the use of our website and to continuously improve individual features and offers, as well as the user experience. Through the statistical evaluation of the user behavior, we can improve our offer and make it more interesting for you as a user. Therein lies our legitimate interest in processing the aforementioned data by the third party. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f) GDPR. You can prevent the evaluation by deleting existing cookies and deactivating the storage of cookies in your browser settings. Please be aware that, in this case, you may not be able to use all the features on our website to the full extent. You can also prevent the display of customized advertisement by Microsoft by setting an Opt-Out cookie on the following website: http://account.microsoft.com/. We would like to point out that this configuration is deleted as soon as you delete your cookies. In addition, Microsoft complies with the Privacy Shield Agreement between the European Union and the USA and is certified accordingly. As a result, Microsoft is obliged to comply with the standards and regulations of the European data protection law.
